In 1973, the dinosaurs had just left the planet and Jeff actually had hair on his head!  This was when North Atlantic Scuba got its start. At that time, NAS was seasonally operated, and shut down from October to April.  Within two years, business was conducted year-round.  The current ownership was established almost 40 years ago, in 1979. How time flies when you're having fun!

Since it's beginnings, NAS has certified thousands of scuba divers. Within some families, three generations have discovered the thrill of diving at NAS! Since 1973 NAS has put well over one million pounds of air (the actual weight of the air itself) into scuba tanks.

Today, NAS has one of the largest selections of scuba, snorkeling and fitness swimming equipment in New England (all of it competitively priced!). The total inventory of NAS is three to five times more than most dive stores, so most items are in stock and ready to go diving!

The service department can handle repairs, alterations, and service on your equipment with a quick turnaround. Service done at NAS is always done right the first time. The air system employs three high-pressure compressors, a high-pressure booster, over 8000 cubic feet of storage air, and five filling attachments, so there's never a wait to fill your tank.
